Professional Finishing
Inkjet-printing is still the most popular
method for printing optical media. The disadvantage of inkjet-printed CD/DVD is
the water-solubility and the color-fading of the imprint when the CD/DVD is
exposed to direct sunlight over a period of time.
The ADR Rollcoater
solves this problem by laminating the CDs/DVDs with a UV-resistant coat and
hardening it under a special UV-lamp. This way you obtain a professional finish
to your discs.
With a per-disc-cost of under one pence laminating with
the ADR Rollcoater is the cheapest method for coating InkJet media
professionally. This device is the right solution especially for service
providers and publishers which produce large quantities of CDs/DVDs on-demand.

Extraction Requirement
The ADR rollercoater requires extraction to
evacuate heat. The unit is temperature controlled by a air conditioning unit
(included) which regulates the heat within the coater. The extraction is heat
evacuation, not fume extraction and is easy to set-up even within small office
environments.
Disc Capacity
The RollerCoater comes with either a 375 or 600 disc
capacity and is completely standalone. No PC required and the controls are very
simple, with an option to select how many discs need coating and a start button
to begin automated coating.
Cleaning & Maintenance
This is a very tidy machine and is easy
to maintain. The system shuts down after 17 minutes of non use and remains in
'sleep mode' which continually turns the roller to avoid hardening of the
laquer. The UV lamp is switched off automatically and the airconditioner ensures
a consistent temperature within the unit. The coater can be left on for a number
of days without being used, although we recommend a clean up and shut down once
every 5-7 days on average. Cleaning is a 5 minute process using Isopropyl
Alchohol and ensures trouble free use of the coater over time.
Business Card & 8cm Automation
There are a number of
differences between this machine and the ArtCoater but one big advantage is the
ability to auto coat both business card and 8cm media. Inkjet printed shapes can
be put through the coater manually or within an automated environment.
